The word RAJPUT comes from 'RAJA' meaning King or Ruler, and 'PUTRA'which means the son. Thus, RAJPUTS were princes, being sons of Kings or Rulers.They originated in Central Asia and were of Hun and Aryan racial extraction. With the development of the caste system on the sub-continent in Ancient times they were of the highest KASHATRIYA or warrior caste

RAJPUTS ruled the sub-continent for centuries. According to historical evidence, they are reputed to have built the most beautiful buildings in the world. This fine architecture later influenced the rest of the civilized world. Upon this sound foundation, the Mughals and otehrs builkt the famous Taj Mahal. At the zenith of their glory, the Rajputs mastered the art of dining and wining in oriental splendour. Since much of our Indo-Pak cuisine is based on their culinary art, it is apt that we name our establishment after the Rajputs.
